I am having a blast learning to make cute, Cute, CUTE party decorations (or wall decor) with my Cricut Explore machine. Since I didn’t want to have to glue a lot of little pieces, I made the majority of the kitty as a print and cut file and then added her nose and dress??? shorts??? as cut out pieces.
I think I’ll try another! Hmmmm whatever shall I try??? 🙂

Do you recall that the other day I did a test using the regular Cricut vinyl (631 type) and said I would test it in the dishwasher for you? Well, I did it and it WORKED PERFECTLY.
I have washed both of my test mugs by hand and in the dishwasher AND they still look as good as new! If you’re not sure of the test, check out a previous post here, my YouTube Channel or my BRAND NEW FACEBOOK GROUP.

I do have a Brother Scan N Cut but find this Cricut so much more user friendly.
Since a YouTube follower of mine asked me (in the comment section) how do you use the print and cut feature in Design Space, I told her I’d gladly create a video for her. Soooo, here it is Helen! If you have further questions, please ask! I LOVE helping people whenever I’m able.
Both Minnie and the text were “print and cut” using two different techniques which I show in the video.

Today I used an image from Cricut Access to make this lovely card. I did change the colors up a little bit because these are the colors that I had on hand. I really love using Cricut brand card stock because it just has such a nice texture and weight to it compared to the other card stock that I bought at Joann’s. With the Cricut card stock, everything cuts so sharply and cleanly AND it doesn’t CURL WHEN I REMVOVE IT FROM THE MAT!!
When I assembled this card, I made sure that the little brad did not go the whole way through the card but rather just through the doily and the second layer. 
Next up I have to create an envelope for it.
In the meantime, I do have another video on YouTube that I made yesterday – take a look.
(I love being able to use files that I have and change them up into something new!)
Well, well well…… I have just become affiliated with Cricut. Mind you I will continue to give my honest opinion of their products (see for example my opinion of the ‘card’?? or whatever that thing is on my previous video).
That being said, I DID comment on LOVING Cricut cardstock on the above video PRIOR to becoming an affiliate BECAUSE I really do like the product….. a lot. Honestly.

Today was a lot of fun quilting AND Cricut cardmaking!
The day started with my good buddy, Rachel, coming over! She and I love to get together to work on quilts! Today was no exception. We worked on our Blocks of the Week projects. I got two blocks done and Rachel got three. HUMP. LOL
After working on our blocks, I went back to my Cricut machine and Design Space. I created a brand new video on using what we get in Cricut Access in order to create a NEW item. I took a card that was designed as a Mother’s Day card and turned it into a Valentine’s Day card. I don’t know about you, but it makes me so happy to use what I already have. Check out the video below to see how easy it is!!
I LOVE MY CRICUT.

I was looking at all the free ‘stuff’ available through Cricut Access and thought some of you might like to use these for upcoming New Year’s Eve celebrations.
The BUMMER was that when I spied it in Access, I noticed the date said 2016. I was thinking WTH???? (see the left example).
So, I went about fixing it so that it would reflect the upcoming year!!!

Hello again! My daughter and I are having so much fun playing with our new Cricut machines. I have some cardstock that is larger than 8.5 x 11 but my daughter doesn’t. ANYHOOO, she wants to create super fun LARGE decorations for the new craft room that her husband made for her (she’s sooo lucky!) AND, I think she wants to add some fun wall art to her precious twin babies’ rooms.
This image shows an example of using the smaller cardstock to create a larger image. In this case, the Hogwarts wall art is about 23″ wide.
Below the image is a tutorial. I hope it helps! Right now….at this moment…it is the best I know. 🙂
I truly am impressed with the Cricut company. I discuss two of the many reasons in the following video.
The second video is a tutorial showing how to begin creating a Harry Potter Box Card (or any other box card that YOU choose). These cards are just SO. MUCH. FUN. TO. CREATE. Oh, and by the way, they are EASY …did I mention that???
